Recipe of the week: Brigadeiro

Today, on my way home I was talking with my mom on the phone and for some reason we started to talk about brigadeiro. Yummy....brigadeiro!
The most popular dessert in Brazil.  So, I got home and decided to make some, since it had been so long since the last time I had made brigadeiro.

  1. 3 tablespoons sweetened cocoa ( such as Nestle Quik)
  2. 1 tablespoon butter
  3. 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • Directions
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cocoa, butter and condensed milk. Cook, stirring continuously, until thick, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let rest until cool enough to handle. Form into small balls, roll in chocolate sprinkles and eat at once or chill until serving.

  • For brigadeiro in a cup: after removing from the heat add a can of crema de la table

You can eat with a spoon

You can make it into balls with chocolate sprinkles

or in a small cup

Pass from generation to generation :-)

Thanks for reading!
